What affects the price of driveway cleaning?
We assess the total area, paving type, staining, access and whether re-sanding is required. Include a photograph from the entrance, approximate dimensions and details of any drainage problems. Oil or rust marks need individual assessment rather than an assumption that routine cleaning will remove them completely.
Why re-sanding needs a separate stage
For suitable block paving, cleaning and replacing jointing sand are planned together. The paving needs to be sufficiently dry for kiln-dried sand, so weather can affect the timing of the finishing visit. The quotation will make clear whether this work is included.
Preparing the driveway
Agree where vehicles can be moved before work starts and tell us about shared entrances, deliveries or restricted parking. Point out loose or sunken blocks: surface cleaning will not repair movement in the paving or its base. The slider shows a genuine Fresh Exterior driveway result.

Common questions
Does block paving need re-sanding?
Normally yes after a deep clean. Re-sanding helps refill the joints and is quoted where suitable.
How long before the driveway dries?
Conditions vary with weather, shade and drainage. Re-sanding can only be completed when joints are dry enough.
Is re-sanding included in the driveway-cleaning price?
It is included when agreed in the quotation for suitable block paving. Ask for cleaning and re-sanding together so the scope and any weather-dependent return visit are clear.
Will pressure washing repair sunken blocks?
No. Cleaning improves the surface appearance; sunken, loose or damaged paving needs separate repair. Tell us about these areas when sending photographs.
