A careful, professional service
Roof cleaning starts with the condition of the tiles and a workable access plan. We assess moss growth, visible defects and the surrounding property before agreeing the scope. Manual moss removal and biocide treatment are separate stages, and your quotation explains which are suitable for your roof.
Fresh Exterior Services is family-run, established in 2019 and backed by £5 million public liability insurance.

What to expect
The quotation will set out the cleaning method, access plan, treatment and debris clearance rather than promising an instant one-method result.
Local coverage
We provide roof cleaning throughout Chichester, Bognor Regis, the Witterings, Selsey, Emsworth and surrounding West Sussex towns and villages.
What affects the price of roof cleaning?
Roof size, pitch, height, access and the amount of moss all affect the quotation. Conservatories, extensions and restricted side access can change how the work is reached. Send photographs of each roof elevation taken safely from the ground, together with the postcode. We will explain if a site assessment is needed before pricing.
Moss removal and treatment: what is the difference?
Physical removal takes away the bulk of the moss. A suitable biocide treatment addresses remaining organic growth, with changes in appearance continuing over time. The before-and-after slider shows a Fresh Exterior roof-cleaning result; the finish and timescale for another roof depend on its material and condition.
Gutters and the surrounding property
Dislodged moss can collect around the roofline. Agree gutter clearance and debris removal as part of the scope, and tell us about ponds, planting, pets and neighbouring access so these can be considered in the working plan.

Common questions
Do you pressure wash every roof?
No. The method is selected for the roof covering and condition; manual scraping and treatment are often more suitable.
How quickly does treatment work?
Physical moss is removed during the clean. Residual staining and growth continue to weather away after treatment.
Can you quote for roof cleaning from photos?
Ground-level photographs of every roof elevation and the access around the house are a useful starting point. Complex access or uncertain roof condition may need a site assessment before we confirm the price.
Will the roof look completely clean straight after treatment?
Moss removal produces a visible change, but remaining organic staining can take time to weather away after treatment. We explain the expected result for the particular roof before work starts.
