A careful, professional service

A sandstone patio, porcelain terrace and concrete paving need different preparation. We assess the surface, joints, drainage and staining before selecting the cleaning method. Let us know about loose slabs or crumbling joints so the quotation can distinguish cleaning from repairs.

Fresh Exterior Services is family-run, established in 2019 and backed by £5 million public liability insurance.

Before we arrive

Move light furniture, pots and fragile items from the surface and tell us about drainage or loose joints.

What to expect

We will manage the clean systematically, protect adjacent areas and explain any drying, re-sanding or repointing stage.

Local coverage

We provide patio cleaning throughout Chichester, Bognor Regis, the Witterings, Selsey, Emsworth and surrounding West Sussex towns and villages.

What affects the cost of patio cleaning?

The area, material, degree of staining and access influence the price. Drainage, furniture removal and any separate stain treatment or repointing also matter. Send a wide photograph, approximate dimensions and close-ups of the joints for a useful first assessment.

Cleaning, staining and damaged joints

Cleaning removes accumulated dirt and organic growth, but it does not repair loose paving or failed mortar. Established staining may need separate assessment. We will discuss the likely finish before starting and explain whether patio repointing is worth considering after the surface has been cleaned.

See the surface before choosing the scope

The before-and-after slider shows one of our own patio-cleaning results. Use it to see the change in that surface, rather than as a promise that every paving material will finish identically. More examples and the patio transformation video are available in our gallery.

Common questions

Will pressure cleaning damage my patio?

We adjust the method to the surface rather than using one pressure setting for every patio.

Can you remove black spots?

Many organic marks can be greatly improved, although results depend on the stone and how deeply staining has developed.

Can you clean Indian sandstone and porcelain?

Yes. We assess the material, joints and condition first, then choose an appropriate method. Please identify the paving if you know it and include close-up photographs with your enquiry.

Does cleaning include patio repointing?

No. Repointing is separately assessed and quoted. If joints are missing or deteriorating, mention them when requesting the clean so both stages can be planned together where suitable.
